Sanchita: How did story writing happen to you? When and why did you feel that this was your calling and that this was a story you needed to tell?

Udai: Writing has always been on my mind. I had been into writing in various forms. But I always wanted to tell my story to the world. For me, the most intriguing and interesting subject is love. I wanted to explore the resilience of love in the face of adversities.

Sanchita: A beautiful title ‘A walk in the rain’ gives an impression of a romantic love story. Are you a romantic at heart?

Udai: Of course I am. I believe that every happy person is romantic at heart.

Sanchita: When love stories are the order of the day, what do you think makes ‘A walk in the rain’ stand out?

Udai: ‘A walk in the rain’ is not just a love story. It’s a story of life. It’s a story of how sometimes life can treat you in unfair way. It’s a story of how love can help you deal with life.

Sanchita: As a debutante author, what do you think are the challenges that you face while writing your first book?

Udai: Structuring of work was the primary challenge that I faced. But the kind of job I do helped me in structuring my work.

Sanchita: Sneak peek into your next project?

Udai: My next project is a psychological thriller. It’s a gripping tale that can give you shivers and goosebumps at the same time.
